Yes I got it straight away there Nursey Wasp = Vespa! or vice versa!
Anyway wasps although some are pollinators - mostly the only purpose they have apart from being annoying bastards in the late summer are to eat rotting fruit.
We'd be knee deep in rotting fruit if weren't for the wasp!

Oddly beetles don't bother me at all. Probably due to growing up in south east London where Stag Beeltes are pretty common - they are great creatures. Scary looking but totally benign.
Cockchafers are pretty amazing too.
Devil's coach horse beetles have plenty of attitude - have seen a few around here.
